My sims 2 double deluxe doesn't show on my computer?

my sims 2 double deluxe doesn't show on my computer at all. The green light flashes when I put it in but ends up stoping. I've went to my computer and double clicked on the drive but it says please insert disk, and before that it will have a cd looking thing by the mouse pointer. I've clean the disk and everything. I have a dell, it has an intel inside celeron, and windows xp. Please help.
