Why do some conservatives call liberals anti-religious for attempting to remove "Under God" from the Pledge?

Censorship done fairly would also include the removal of many other truly offensive words which are unnecessary in this enlightened age. But since it is a pledge that many find offensive for it's reverence, the problem is all the other words lose their meaning in the cascade of minority disapproval. IF we are ONE nation under GOD with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL...the whole is mightier than the part.
